Dr. Stephanie Hancock graduated from the University of Guelph in 2004 with an Animal Biology Degree and then graduated in 2008 from the Ontario Veterinary College. Upon graduating, she moved to BC where she worked in both general and emergency medicine until moving to Calgary in 2013. She is pleased to have joined the Horizon Group and currently works at the Marlborough Veterinary Hospital location.
Her interests in veterinary medicine include animal welfare, behavior medicine, anesthesia, and she especially enjoys working with the clients to find the best treatment options for the patient and owner.
Dr. Hanock lives with her wonderful husband, Chris, and her furry family of 2 dogs and 3 cats. Fergie is a mixed breed rescue who Stephanie adopted during vet school, and Murphy is a Springer Spaniel who was chosen at 2 days of age so that he could keep his natural tail. Stella, Mortimer and Wilbur keep their canine family in order and all have their own unique feline personalities.
Stephanie enjoys outside activites which include hiking and snowshoeing in the mountains with her dogs and kayaking, even though her and her husband may have to learn to transition from sea to river kayaking since last time we checked there are no oceans in Alberta!
